Meet Dr. Buck
Dr. Buck graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, and he began his dental career in the US Army soon after. After serving in Afghanistan with the 626 Forward Support Battalion as the Brigade Dental Surgeon of the 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, he spent two years in private practice before “crossing into the blue” and serving in the Air Force. At this time, he served in Okinawa, Japan and spent over five months on the hospital ship, USNS Mercy where he was initiated into the Solemn Mysteries of the Ancient Order of Shellbacks.
In addition to being a board-certified dentist, Dr. Buck earned two Master of Science degrees, one in oral sciences and the other in biomedical sciences. In his time working as a prosthodontist, Dr. Buck began dedicating more of his time and expertise to treating patients with orofacial pain, snoring, sleep apnea, and Temporomandibular Joint disorders.
Colonel Richard Buck retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of military service. He maintains a Diplomate Status with the American Board of Prosthodontics and is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics. In addition, Dr. Buck holds membership with the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and sits on their Sleep board, and he proudly holds the title of Qualified Dentist with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
